What does the Soonos audio verdict actually mean?

Accepted Answer

It's a single label summarising what the audio probe produced for your track: Confirmed (audio matches your declared genre), Contradicted (audio disagrees), Audio only (no declared genre, lens picked from audio), Partial (some signals but not enough), Missing (no usable audio signal), or Manual (you locked the lens yourself).

Why do I sometimes see “Audio partiel” instead of a confirmation?

Soonos counts how many numeric descriptors (BPM, groove, spectral centroid, etc.) were captured. Below 5 signals out of 5 expected, confidence is considered limited and the verdict shows as partial — your declared genre is kept, but the lens is flagged as not fully verified.

What happens when the verdict is “Audio introuvable / Missing”?

Accepted Answer

The audio probe couldn't extract any usable feature (silence, very short clip, unsupported encoding, or extreme compression). Soonos falls back to your declared genre and the score is computed without an audio-driven lens. Re-uploading a cleaner export usually resolves it.

How does the override / manual lens mode work?

Accepted Answer

When you lock the lens manually, Soonos bypasses the audio decision entirely — even if the probe ran successfully. The verdict shows as “Lentille manuelle” to make the bypass explicit, and your chosen genre drives the scoring rules.

Can the audio override my declared genre automatically?

Accepted Answer

Only when the audio probe produces ≥5 confident signals AND clearly disagrees with your declared genre. In that case the verdict reads “Audio contredit” and the fusion engine arbitrates. Otherwise, your declared genre always wins.

Question 6

Is the audio verdict shown in the PDF export too?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The PDF mirrors the dashboard label, icon and tone (in English for international interoperability), so reviewers reading the export get the exact same verdict you see in the UI.

Why is the verdict badge missing on some uploads?

Accepted Answer

The unified audio badge is only rendered when the lens decision actually involves the audio probe (audio, audio_probe, audio_confirmed, manual). For purely declared, AI-audio or fallback sources, the original neutral source label is shown instead — the badge would be misleading there.

Question 8

Do partial or missing verdicts hurt my score?

Accepted Answer

Not directly. The score is still computed using the most reliable lens available. But a low-confidence verdict signals you should re-export the file (longer duration, lossless or 320 kbps, no extreme limiter) so Soonos can run a full audio analysis next time.
